How Long will it take to Sell my File?

CMAX will work at your pace to list your portfolios for sale on NDSE. From the time we receive your data file and seller survey, we will evaluate the portfolio within 48 hours. Then we will contact you to discuss our suggested deal pricing and strategy for your portfolio. We can begin to market the portfolio within 24 hours of receiving your completed documentation.

The time taken to sell your portfolio will depend on the sale strategy you choose. Bid portfolios will usually be on the site for around 15 days. Individual account sellers should be prepared to have their accounts listed for at least 30 days. As buyers become more comfortable with the consistency of the products you offer over a few months, the time taken will decrease dramatically.

What do I Need to Sell my Accounts on CMAX NDSE?

To list your accounts on the exchange CMAX requires that you have a data file (spreadsheet or database formats only) with the account information and proof of ownership. As long as you have this information available, we can assist you in filling out the Seller Survey and other documents necessary to sell debt on NDSE.

Is CMAX a Broker? How are you Different?

CMAX is NOT A BROKER! CMAX NDSE is an online debt exchange platform that facilitates the sale and purchase of debt. Unlike debt brokers NDSE offers sellers a value added vehicle in which to sell their debt. The online website exchange platform is a sales tool for debt sellers to maximize the value of portfolios through unique selling mediums such as individual account sales.

CMAX is also different than traditional brokers because of our ability to create both internal and external competition for the purchase of your files. Similar to other exchanges NDSE creates competition among our Sales Associates to sell files which in turn drives the external competition among the buyers working with each Sales Associate.

How do I get a Password to View the Exchange?

To get a user name and password for the CMAX NDSE, fill out the online registration form and our Business Development Team will process your application quickly. To expedite receipt of your password contact one of our Business Development Representatives directly.

What do you need to Evaluate my File?

To properly evaluate your portfolio CMAX needs a data file and an accurately completed Seller Survey. The Seller Survey includes many of the pricing variables needed to evaluate the treatment of your file and is absolutely necessary for accurate pricing.

When you are ready to submit your portfolio for evaluation contact you’re Business Development Representative and they will give you more specific information on how to securely submit your file to CMAX’s FTP servers.

How do you Price Files?

In order to price a portfolio CMAX first stratifies the data file to isolate each variable (i.e. geography, age, agency level, etc.) to be evaluated independently. Portfolios are then evaluated by our Analytics Department and compared against our buyer database to estimate the potential demand for your assets. All portfolios are then presented to our Executive Deal Team who determines the best deal pricing and strategy for each portfolio submitted.

How do you Approve your Buyer?

CMAX processes every buyer application it receives by hand. To learn more see our Buyer Approval Process page.

What are Individual Account Sales?

Individual accounts sales the format of selling debt accounts on a loan-by-loan basis. Rather than being forced to purchase entire portfolios, debt buyers can customize the portfolios they purchase. For more information see our Individual Account Sales page.

Do I have to Show Unmasked Data? How do you Monitor who Receives my Unmasked Data?

When debt buyers evaluate a portfolio for purchase they always discount the price they are willing to pay for any variables they cannot evaluate themselves. By not providing unmasked data for evaluation, most buyers will reduce the price they are willing to pay.  Unmasked data files are not required for sale on NDSE but they are always suggested for sellers wishing to maximize the value of the assets they are selling.

To monitor the recipients of unmasked data files CMAX has a strict policy in place regarding the receipt and transfer of unmasked data files. See our Unmasked Data File Policy for more information.

Who Handles the Post-Sale Support?

Sellers may elect to have the CMAX Client Services Team handle post-sale support for their files for a nominal fee. To learn more see our Seller Post-Sale Servicing page. Sellers that do not elect to have CMAX handle their post-sales support are expected to coordinate post-sale support for their buyers.
