ACA International is a comprehensive knowledge-based resource for success in the credit and collection industry. The ACA has developed a positive reputation by demanding the highest degree of ethical practices and conduct from their members and promoting the importance of value and integrity in the industry.
The ACA provides a number of resources to their membership such as clarifying the rights and responsibilities of all participants in the credit and collections cycle, enhancing the knowledge and skills of credit and collections professionals and offering services and products to improve the profitability of their members. ACA plays an important industry role by meeting with legislators and lobbying as the voice for asset owners and collectors.
ACA also offers an assortment of publications for people in the collections and recovery industry. Collector Magazine is one of their more popular publications with content relative to the daily life of asset owners, agency owners and collectors.
The Commercial Law League of America ("CLLA") is a respected organization of attorneys and other experts in credit and finance actively engaged in the field of commercial law, bankruptcy and insolvency. With over 4,000 members in the U.S. CLLA has grown into the pre-eminent source of professional services in the commercial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights area.
CLLA is the largest association of commercial collectors in the U.S. and they offer a variety of ways to stay in touch with developments in the world of commercial collections. Debt3 offers insight into the world of commercial collections through articles about the external legal environment, commercial collections marketing, and more.

DBA International is a collections industry association focused on those groups that purchase and/or collect on debt. The DBA International is a source of experienced, knowledgeable and ethical industry participants that provide educational and networking opportunities through their annual conference. They also represent the debt buying industry at other relative major industry conferences around the country. The DBA International like the ACA also supports debt buyers where appropriate in Appellate cases of significance. The staff at the Debt Buyers Association is dedicated to building the foundation for industry standards.
The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys is a trade association dedicated to serving law firms engaged in the business of consumer debt collection. NARCA’s mission is to elevate the practice of consumer debt collection law through member networking, education, advocacy and outreach to others in the industry and the public. Unlike other collection industry associations NARCA’s membership is primarily collection attorneys that provide third party collection services.
